The Emmaus Road Part 3





1. Messiah would destroy the works of the enemy Genesis 3:15, 1 John 3:8 -

3. Genesis 22- Abraham lays wood on Isaac, Mt. Moriah place near where Jesus was crucified and became final sacrifice for all, substitutionary lamb/ ram.
4. Life of Joseph - a foreshadowing of Messiah, fulfilled in Jesus (sold by brothers for 20 shekels of silver, because of jealousy, received by gentiles, falsely accused, 2 in jail, raised up, saves his own people with 7 years of famine, jews eyes are opened to see its their brother.

5. Genesis 49 Jacob’s words of prophecy, that the scepter would not depart from Judah nor a lawgiver  from between his feet until Shiloh (perhaps "he whose it is," a Messianic title) comes and to Him shall be the obedience of the people.
